\"\"Nestled in the Haute Vienne is a new idyllic carp lake of 18 acres with a good stock of beautiful carp up to 59lb, surrounded by beautiful nature and countryside. Paul and Kelly Copperwaite have been the owners of Villedieu Lake since 2019 and have since been upgrading the complex to host the first guests in 2023. The lake has a beautiful jagged shape and they do their utmost to preserve the natural character of the lake and the environment as much as possible. Of course there are neat toilets, showers and a wooden lodge, called “The Lookout”, at your disposal during your stay.<\/p>\n

\nNo Kill
\nMaximum 3 rods per angler
\nDo not leave any rods unattended
\nUnhooking mats, landing nets and weighing bags are available. Do not bring your own.
\nKlinic, Propolis, or a similar quality product is to be used to treat (crochet) wounds and can be purchased locally
\nNo braided main lines
\nMinimum 15 lb mainline
\nLeaders are not allowed
\nA minimum of 40cm of rig tubing must be used
\nBarbless hooks only. Long shank hooks are not allowed, as are pinched flat barbs.
\nKeep the fish for a minimum of 5 \u2013 10 minutes to allow them to recover before taking pictures. The fish should not be out of the water for more than 5 minutes.
\nWe also reserve the right to ask you to take pictures in the water in warm weather.
\nWeighing and taking pictures must be done within the boundaries of the swim. Anglers must be low to the ground when weighing and photographing fish and anyone who fails to comply with this important rule will be banned from fishing with immediate effect.
\nOnly use rigs that drop the lead in the event of a line break.
\nOnly use unpreserved fresh boilies or freezer baits (boilies can be purchased on site)
\nNo nuts or particles of any kind (bait can be purchased on site)
\nOnly locally purchased corn may be used
\nNO DRUGS this will lead to an immediate ban and you will be asked to leave with no refund of monies paid
\nDrink responsibly (accidents that occur under the influence of alcohol are not covered by French public liability). If we believe you are not suitable for fishing we will reel in your lines and you may be asked to leave
\nShowers and toilets must be kept clean
\nAll waste must be disposed of in the designated area (including cigarette butts!). Keep all glass separate from general waste as it is not taken by the garbage collectors, glass MUST be recycled
\nToilet and shower must be kept clean at all times, respect the person who has to enter after you
\nAlways use the toilets
\nNo open fire, only (French law) stoves,
\nBBQs are available on site – No disposable BBQs allowed
\nArrival times are 2pm
\nDeparture time is before 10am
\nBoats allowed
\nLife jackets must always be worn
\nSwimming in the lake is not allowed
\nManagement reserves the right to check your equipment and rigs.
\nBait boats allowed
\nDo not fish in the demarcated areas
\nMake sure you don’t stray into our neighbors’ land
\nDogs are not allowed
\nNo loud music. Keep noise to a minimum
\nWe hope you respect our rules, but if you don’t, we reserve the right to ask you to leave. If this does happen, no refund will be made.
